“The carers are brilliant” says Peter. “My favourite one is with me most of the time, and when he has his break I have relief carers who keep me going until my main carer returns”.
When someone is living with the after effects of a brain injury, it is important that they receive just the right level of care to ensure that their lives continue in a way that suits them as an individual; that they feel cared for and yet preserve their independence.
Peter is living with brain injury after care. He has received live in care from Sunshine for some years now and is very happy with the service we provide, which enables him to live at home and preserve a degree of independence. He loves to go the pub a couple of times a week and to visit the local gym, and also take part in a computer course, at the local college. For each of these activities Peter is accompanied by his preferred male live in carers.
“The carers are brilliant” says Peter. “My favourite one is with me most of the time, and when he has his break I have relief carers who keep me going until my main carer returns”. Peter reports in the supervision that he is very happy and recommends Sunshine Care to all his friends.
